ROSHNI is a special school and therapy centre for children and young adults with neurological disabilities (such as cerebral palsy and learning disabilities), many living in extreme poverty, who otherwise would be deprived of education and rehabilitation services.
Friends of ROSHNI UK is a registered charity which supports the work of ROSHNI in India, through raising funds and sending skilled volunteers.
Building Target 2014
Friends of Roshni UK is aiming to raise £5000 towards the Second Phase of the new school building project in 2014. We have so far raised £3000 - can you help us raise the remaining £2000?
We need Sponsors!
We currently have 7 children and young adults needing sponsorship through our Shared Sponsorship programme - we need just £5 a month for each of them to provide all the services they need from Roshni. Can you help? Get in touch!
We need Volunteers!
We are currently recruiting volunteers to go to India from September 2014 onwards. If you have a skill to offer, and you are up for the adventure of your life, get in touch!
We particularly need Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapists, but will consider anyone with a relevant profession or experience working with people with disabilities.
Our target for 2014 is to send £5000 to Roshni towards the new school building project – we have sent £2000 so far this year. Can you help us raise the remaining £3000? Donate here.
